Only two – and you can prepare both from home:
- German at B1 level or higher
- A completed training or degree in physiotherapy
That is it. Everything else, we take care of.
Document recognition, certified translations, the visa process, dealing with German authorities, finding an employer, your accommodation, your arrival – you do not have to figure any of this out on your own. That is our job, and we have done it for more than 600 physiotherapists already.
And if your German is not at B1 yet, that is not a dead end either. Just contact us and we will guide you through the process.
Of course! We will also support you with bringing your family with you.
We will help you with all the necessary documents and procedures for your family.
You can choose if you want to bring your family directly with you or you can come alone first and your family comes to Germany after 3-6 months.
We want you to feel at home in Germany and that includes your family.
Of course, we will listen to your wishes and try to fulfill them. We work with first-class healthcare facilities all over Germany and will be happy to place you with a facility in your preferred region.
However, we cannot guarantee that you will find a job in your preferred region as we have no influence on the current staffing situation at the healthcare facilities but we always have a large selection of good employers that you can choose from.
Your salary comes in two phases.
While your qualification is being recognised, you already work in your profession and earn between €2,700 and €3,100 gross per month. This phase is temporary – it ends once the German authorities have completed your recognition.
Once you hold your German professional licence (Berufsurkunde), you are a fully recognised physiotherapist and your salary rises accordingly – around €3,000- €3,300 gross per month, depending on employer, experience and region. From there it keeps going: additional certifications such as manual therapy or lymphatic drainage are well paid in Germany and are the most reliable way to increase your income further.
Gross is not what arrives in your account – and it is worth understanding why. A large part of the difference goes into Germany's social security system: health insurance for you and your family, pension contributions, unemployment insurance and long-term care insurance. This is not money that disappears. Your medical treatment is covered, you keep receiving your salary when you are ill, you build up a pension for later, and you are protected if you lose your job. In many countries you would have to pay for all of this yourself, if it is available at all.
What remains is your net salary – typically around 65 to 70 percent of the gross figure, so roughly €2,000 per month from a €3,000 salary.
From that, our candidates tell us they are usually able to save around €1,000 a month, especially in the first years when many share a flat. A large part of that often goes home to their families.
We take care of it. Everyone lives differently, so we start by understanding what matters to you – a room in a shared flat or your own apartment, how close to work, what fits your budget. From there, we run the search for you: we look for suitable places, prepare all the documents landlords ask for, handle the communication with them and go through the rental contract with you before you sign anything.
You are never left to navigate the German housing market on your own.Your employer supports us in this, because practices know their local market and often have contacts that make a real difference. Between us, we aim to have your accommodation arranged before you arrive – not after.
For the first months, a furnished room or a shared flat is usually the easiest start. Once you have arrived and found your feet, moving into your own place is far simpler – and we are still there when you do.
Because we do one thing, and we do it better than anyone else.
We are not a general recruitment agency that happens to place physiotherapists. Physiotherapy is our specialisation – it is all we do. More than 600 physiotherapists have started their career in Germany with us, from over ten countries. No other agency in this field placed near as many physiotherapists in Germany.
That experience is what you benefit from. We know exactly which documents the authorities ask for and which mistakes cost people months. We know what German practices expect from a new colleague, and we know what surprises people in their first weeks on the job. Nothing about your process is new to us – which means it does not have to be difficult for you.
And we do not disappear once you land. We support you through the entire process: recognition of your qualification, visa, language training, your job, your accommodation – and afterwards, when you are already in Germany and settling in. You have a contact person the whole way.
